We are delighted to announce that Mats Wallin has been appointed Director of Philanthropy for Cancer Support Community San Francisco Bay Area. In this role, Mats will steward our efforts to engage and support legacy and leadership donors.
Mats comes to Cancer Support Community with a prominent career in the nonprofit sector, including roles as Executive Director for the American Heart Association of Contra Costa and Oakland, Development Director for the National Brain Tumor Foundation, and Executive Director for the Diabetic Youth Foundation. He is a graduate of UC Berkeley, and has resided in the Diablo Valley since 1989. Mats is the proud father of two children, and is active in the local community as a soccer referee and trainer and an avid home brewer.
We are fortunate to have Mats join CSC as we celebrate our 25th anniversary, and to help us ensure that we will always be here for anyone facing cancer in our community.
