With Tracy Maxwell, author, Being Single, with Cancer: A Solo Survivor’s Guide to Life, Love, Health, and Happiness.
As a single cancer survivor, the first thought Tracy had after being diagnosed was, “who is going to take care of me?” Followed closely by “how am I going to do this alone?” What she soon realized was that it isn’t just the physical aspects of being along that can cause problems. Social isolation or loneliness has a negative impact on health and well-being as well. Her experience with cancer taught Tracy that she was in no way alone. Recognizing all the love and support in her life and learning how to allow it in was one of the biggest blessings of her experience. Her book and talk will examine limiting beliefs that may affect peace of mind and even physical health.
