Life Scout Nick Powell of Troop 832 in the Mt. Diablo Silverado Council raised funds and recruited volunteers to install a new bike rack at Cancer Support Community on Sunday. Despite temperatures toping 100 degrees, the crew finished in about four hours. This was Nick’s Eagle Scout project, one of the final steps in achieving scouting’s highest rank. Several CSC members bike to our programs, and now they can lock their bikes to a rack instead of fences and lamp posts. Thank you, Nick and Troop 832!
