CSC to Host Joanna Bull for Spirituality and Illness Workshop

Joanna BullJoanna Bull is one of the foremost leaders of the cancer patient empowerment and psychosocial care movement in the United States.  She helped develop the original Wellness Community, and then founded Gilda’s Club following her work as Gilda Radner’s therapist when Gilda battled ovarian cancer in the 1980s.

Our Cancer Support Community and many other cancer support organizations in North America are based on the Wellness Community/Gilda’s Club model.  We are honored to have Joanna visit us to conduct workshops for our members and therapists on spirituality and life threatening illness.

Join us for a conversation around spirituality and cancer with one of the pioneers in psychosocial support.  We will discuss a broader definition of “spirituality” that can open us up to welcoming the transformative potential of illness.
