Actor Neil Patrick Harris and Writer/Director George Jaques gave a shout-out to Cancer Support Community and Gilda’s Club in promotion of their upcoming film, Sunny Dancer—a coming-of-age comedy/drama about a teen recovering from cancer and the importance of finding your community.
Jaques highlighted the important work Cancer Support Community does, saying, “Cancer Support Community and Gilda’s Clubs provide free support, resources, and community for people impacted by cancer, as well as their families and their loved ones.”
“We’re excited to be partnering with Cancer Support Community and Gilda’s Clubs to shine a light on the incredible work that they do,” added Harris.
The British film premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in February and enjoyed its US launch on September 18th, 2026.
