CSC’S 25th Anniversary Survivorship Conference
Saturday: September 26, 10–2 pm
Check-in opens at 9:30 am for those who have registered.
Join us for a very special program focusing on the psychosocial aspects of cancer survivorship. David Spiegel, MD, one of the pioneers in studying the effects of support groups on survivorship and quality of life, will provide the keynote presentation on how psychosocial support impacts survivorship and how our understanding of psycho-oncology has evolved.
Break out sessions will include a track for those who are recovering from cancer focusing on regaining power for healing, becoming more embodied, and allowing a space for recognizing grief that comes with the diagnosis. A separate track for those who are dealing with cancer as a chronic condition will focus on maintaining energy, nurturing social connection and staying in the present.
We will come back together for an experience celebrating living fully regardless of where we are in the journey. Lunch will be provided and space is limited, so please call 925.933.0107 to register by September 23.
Presented in partnership with John Muir Cancer Institute.
Registration required. Call 925.933.0107 to register, space is limited.
