Friends of Cancer Support Community,
With a full heart, I am retiring today from my role of CEO for Cancer Support Community. I have been blessed to work in community services for over 40 years, and it has been my greatest honor to serve CSC since 2006.
I leave knowing that CSC is flourishing in just about every way. We have become one of the largest and most highly respected cancer support centers in North America, and are now rated in the top 1% of nonprofit organizations in the country for our fiscal integrity.
This is because we have an incredibly superb staff, dedicated board of directors, and generous donors. Please join me in thanking them for their wonderful stewardship.
I am grateful beyond words to our members. Your courage and compassion have inspired all of us. As we’ve faced cancer together, we’ve also faced our mortality, and thus our humanity. And we’ve realized that it’s not how long we live, but how well we live that makes our lives whole.
Now it is time for me to fully live our mission, and to focus on sustaining my physical, emotional and spiritual health. Please join me also in this, and in the blessings of healing and fulfillment.
Thank you all again, so very much.
Sincerely,
