In-person programs suspended; select virtual programs offered
We are monitoring closely the evolving Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) virus situation, and following the guidance of public health authorities. Your health, safety and well-being are always our greatest concerns.
We recognize that many of our members are at higher risk of infection and complications. At the same time, we are committed to ensuring that no one in our community faces cancer alone.
In that light, beginning March 13, we will suspend all programs or services held at our center. Instead, we will conduct as many as possible via videoconference or telephone.
All of our members will be able to attend their support groups virtually in real time, using HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing. We will offer one-to-one support via phone or videoconference. We are also exploring the possibility of live-streaming educational workshops.
Support group members, counseling clients and those registered for classes or workshops will soon receive more detailed information about how to access your scheduled programs and services.
We are currently planning to deliver our mission virtually through the end of March. We will keep you informed on next steps as we continue to follow the guidance of Contra Costa Health Services, the California Department of Public Health, and the Centers for Disease Control.
Please feel welcome to contact either of us at 925.933.0107 or via email for more information or assistance.
